It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Diane Zeliznik surrounded at home by family at the age of 67 after a brief but courageous battle with cancer. Diane is survived by her husband Brian Zeliznik; two children, Mike Zeliznik of Winlaw, BC and Lisa (Shawn) Suchow of Airdrie; three sisters Valerie(Harold) Hosken of Elliot Lake, Ontario, Heather Hartley also of Elliot Lake, and Tammy (Brian) Hodkinson of Airdrie, Alberta; along with many nieces and nephews. Diane was predeceased by her parents Ken and Lillian Mcleod, and brother in law Kenneth Hartley. A Celebration of Life will be held at the Triwood Community Hall, 2244 Chicoutimi Dr. NW, Calgary AB Saturday March 19, 1 to 4 p.m. Arrangements in care of Lawrence (Larry) Slywka of COCHRANE COUNTRY FUNERAL HOME, Cochrane, Alberta. We are extremely saddened to hear the news about Diane's passing and feel so fortunate to have had the opportunity to see her recently. Our thoughts and love go out to Brian, Lisa, and Mike along with her entire family. Diane will always be remembered for her kindness, warmth and generosity. Our love, prayers and thoughts go out to all of you. We will miss Diane terribly. She was a wonderful wife, mom, grandmother and most of all a terrific friend. We had many good times together and she will always be in our hearts. Mike and Liza, she was always very proud of you and more than anything she loved spending time with her two beautiful grandkids. Val, Heather and Tammy, remember all the good times you spent together and I know how thankful she was to have you all there at the end. Brian, you were a wonderful husband, her best friend and her caregiver in the last 10 years. We are so sorry we can't make it to her celebration of life but will be thinking of all of you! All our love to all of you!

I worked with Diane a million years ago at the ISPG when she was with CANMET. I remember her exuberant personality, kind nature and love of bingo. We lost track over the years but I bet she was a really fun mum and good wife to her fireman husband. My sympathies for your loss.
