Dorothy LAZERTE Obituary
May 23, 1923 – April 28, 2018
Dorothy Ellen Lazerte, beloved wife of the late Roland Lazerte, passed away peacefully at George Boyack Nursing Home on Saturday, April 28, 2018 at the age of 94 years. Dorothy will be lovingly remembered by her children Rod (Sherry) Lazerte and Kathleen (Don) Gilhooly; grandchildren Jason (Tannis) Lazerte, Justin (Breanne Lazerte, Jessica (Jeff) Marin, Michael Gilhooly, Lisa (Rob) Nordvall and Shaun (Lindsay) Gilhooly and nine great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her twin brother Robert Humphries and her beloved husband Roland. Heaven rejoices as Dorothy Lazerte (Gran) took her last breath here on Earth and walked into her Heavenly home. A Memorial Service will be held at Cornerstone Christian Assembly (2640 Rundlelawn Road NE, Calgary) on Thursday, May 3, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. Reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made directly to Cornerstone Christian Assembly (Smile Shop), 2640 Rundlelawn Road NE, Calgary, AB T1Y 5X3. My most sincere and heartfelt condolences on the passing of this wonderful lady you called Mom, Gran and Great Gran. She enriched so many lives. I can still see her back in the day, hustling around the acreage in her white sleeveless blouse doing oh so many things. She was small but mighty and she had such a BIG heart!! She will be sadly missed but never forgotten! I'm so sorry I can't come to the celebration of life on Thursday - I'll be on a plane enroute to our Region 26 Sweet Adeline competition. I know you will bless everyone with your heartfelt service Kath and God bless you too and all the family. Love & prayers in the coming days. Judy & Tom
