Dear Eileen, my sincere condolences for your loss. Doug will be missed by all of us in the aviation world. Calgary Business Aircraft became a benchmark of success in aircraft maintenance because of the professionalism you and Doug provided day in and day out. I always enjoyed a conversation with Doug. He and I would talk way too long about Transport Canada, business, and a little more TC before the day was done. He will be sadly missed, but not forgotten.

Dear Eileen and family, my sincere condolences on your loss. Doug kept our little pipeline aircraft safely operating for the first 3000+hrs (that was 60+ visits) of my commercial career. He would allay my concerns with a wry grin and a witty reply. He kept me on my toes and I trusted him completely and learned an enormous amount from him in my formative years. He will be sadly missed.

No words can be found to describe the huge hole that is left in the world from Doug's passing. Doug was one of a kind, always there to help, always there to listen and most important always a friend. Doug was a sharing person and most of all he shared his time. I remember the time when he came out to help a stranded pilot to repair his plane on one cold Christmas day, Doug's response was "he was able to fly home hundreds of miles to be with family and I just had to drive 5 miles to be with mine.
That will be my memories of Doug, he will always be missed.
Our thoughts are with you Eileen and your family.

To my brother from another mother, you will be missed Doug, times were too short but always enjoyed, may you rest in painless peace while we share the wonderful memories past. I promise to watch out for your family as you would do for mine. Gone to shine in another realm but not forgotten here, always remembered fondly.
