Surrounded by his family, Doug passed away peacefully at the Salvation Army Agape Hospice, after a long, hard fought battle with cancer. He is survived by his loving wife Eileen; daughters Angela Boston-Nichols (Mark) and Natalie Barre (Todd); son Chris (Marilyn); and his four precious grandchildren, Hannah and Brayden (Barre), Michaela and Liam (Boston); sisters Jane Boston and Kathleen Williscroft (Jerry); as well as many nieces, nephews and their families. Doug was predeceased by parents Gilbert and Phyllis, and sister, Karen (Zolmer). Doug was an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer and will be remembered for his passionate pursuit for the development of professional standards for the advancement of the aircraft maintenance industry. Most of all, he will be remembered for his ability to build or fix almost anything and shared his knowledge willingly. A Celebration of Doug's Life will be held on Friday, May 22, 2015 at the RAMADA Plaza Calgary Airport Hotel & Conference Centre (3515 26 Street N.E., Calgary, AB) from 2:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. Photos, memories and condolences may be shared with Doug's family through www.evanjstrong.com
