Franklin SAGA Obituary
January 17, 1926 – February 22, 2016
Franklin To Saga passed away peacefully at the Agape Hospice at the age of 90 years. He is survived by his loving wife Noriko and son Kent. In his last few days, he was happy to have had the opportunity to enjoy the company of his immediate family, including his sisters Grace and Ida. Frank was born in Vancouver, BC and schooled in Calgary and Coaldale, AB. Frank's schooling led to his work at the J.I. Case Company where he was the Office Manager. Frank had an eclectic life with interests such as Curling, Tennis and Badminton. On the other end of the spectrum he also enjoyed gardening, photography and was Calgary Stampeder fan for over 50 years; for this, he was honoured by them. He stated that one of his regrets was not seeing the horse walk into the York Hotel in 1948. A Funeral Service will be held at FOSTER'S GARDEN CHAPEL, 3220 – 4 Street N.W., Calgary (across from Queen's Park Cemetery)on Tuesday, March 1, 2016 at 2:00 p.m., with The Very Reverend Leighton Lee officiating. Interment will follow at Queen's Park Cemetery. If friends so desire, memorial donations may be made to the Agape Hospice, 1302 8 Ave. N.W., Calgary T2N 1B8. Expressions of sympathy may be forwarded to the family via the website
