It is with profound sadness we announce the passing of Maria Candida Ferreirinha (nee Mendes) of Calgary on Tuesday, December 10, 2013 at the age of 76. Maria Candida immigrated to Canada in 1956 from Macedo de Cavaleiros, Portugal and proudly made Calgary and Canada her home. Maria is survived by her husband Americo Augusto; her son and daughter-in-law, Manuel and Rose; grandson Dylan; and brothers, Armando, Albert and Francisco. She will be terribly missed by her family and friends. Our family would like to thank friends for their thoughtful prayers and wishes.

There is not a day, dear wife, mother,
grandmother, mother-in-law, sister, and friend
that we will not have you in our thoughts.
Relatives and friends are invited to Prayers and Tributes at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY'S Chapel of the Bells (2720 Centre Street North) on Sunday, December 15, 2013 at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church (4747 - 30 Street S.E.) on Monday, December 16, 2013 at 10:30 a.m. Graveside Service to follow at Queen's Park Mausoleum. Condolences may be forwarded through www.mcinnisandholloway.com. The family would like to recognize the staff of section 3 West of the Vernon Fanning Centre for their care. In living memory of Maria Ferreirinha, a tree will be planted at Big Hill Springs Park, Cochrane.
