Sheilah VERCUSKI Obituary

Published by Calgary Herald on Oct. 31, 2015.
VERCUSKI, Sheilah
November 11, 1922 – October 22, 2015
Three weeks before her 93rd birthday. Sheilah is resting now at peace at her home in North Port, Florida. Sheilah (Jones) was proud to have been born in Calgary. After completing high school, she became challenged by Moral Re-Rearmament (aka Oxford Group) to work with them to reach people and bring change for a better world. Her work took her to the USA, Europe and South America serving with her husband. Sheilah was predeceased by her husband Vincent Vercuski, two sisters, Norah and husband Jim Miller and Aileen Martin. Her memory will be cherished by her beloved and devoted daughters Kathy; Marianne with husband Leigh Sundeck; sister Marjorie and husband Bob Hughes of Canmore, AB; brother-in-law George Martin of Vancouver, BC and her dearly loved nieces and nephews including the family of a older half-sister Euphemia (Phedie) Jones Rider. Sheilah was an unselfish, caring and devoted wife and mother. Throughout her life she was strong in her faith in God and sought daily guidance in prayer and study. She will be greatly missed. "She has taken her bright candle and gone to a room we cannot find. We will know where she has been by the light she left behind." (author unknown).

I am so sorry to hear the passing of your mother. Sheilah will be greatly missed. She lived such a wonderful and positive life. She was such an inspiration to all who had the privilege of knowing her. I pray God's peace and comfort over Kathy and Maryanne and all of their family. Love you both.
