(Carmelle Marie Julienne Langlais)
December 4, 1945 - April 2, 2015
Carmen Lambrinoudis of Victoria, BC, passed away on Thursday, April 2, 2015 at the age of 69 years. Carmen was born in Chandler, Quebec, to Dorima Langlais and Diana Mercier. She was one of eight children. She was a sister to Magella (Jeannine), Paulette (Yvon), Madeleine (Robert), Nicole, Paul Andre (Julie), Dianne and Cecile (Real). She spent the early years of her life in Quebec, and after meeting her husband John Lambrinoudis in Montreal the two of them moved west to Calgary to start their life. Carmen and John spent the next 30 years of their lives in Calgary, they opened the iconic Peppi's Restaurant on 17th Avenue and ran this family business with many others until 1990 when they moved west to Vancouver Island. Carmen loved life and was a mother and Yiayia (Grandma) to many that she came into contact with, she touched so many lives over the years she was with us and we are blessed to have had her in our lives. Carmen's passion in life was cooking, sewing and basically doing anything with her hands, she was so creative and took great joy in just making people smile and being surrounded those she loved. Everyone used to come over to Yiayia's house to just spend time with her and of course "eat something". She was a very proud Yiayia and loved her grandchildren with all of her heart. She will be sadly missed by so many. She has left behind a big loving family, her husband John, her daughter Chris (Patrick) and sons Andrew (Heather) and Angelo (Sonia). She was also blessed with six grandchildren Zoe, Alexis, Olivia, Alyssa, Alexandra and Madison. Relatives and friends are invited to pay their respects at Evan J. Strong Funeral Services (5502-2 Street SW/ one block east of Macleod Trail at 53 Avenue SW) on Wednesday April 8, 2015 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Funeral Services will be held at St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church on Thursday, April 9, 2015 at 12:00 p.m. Graveside Service to follow at Queen's Park Cemetery. Photos, memories and condolences may be shared with Carmen's family through www.evanjstrong.com. Our deepest and saddest condolences to the entire family. She will be missed.
We always remembered her and the family with great fondness and a few heart warming laughs. We spent a lot of years together and watched the children grow.
We were so happy that we were able to see her once again when we made the trip to Victoria this last time.
She may be gone physically but she will always be a light in our hearts.

Carmen was a beautiful soul with a vivacious personality. It has been many years since I have had the privilege of being in her presence but as a child Carmen was an like a grandmother to me. The memories that I have been blessed to share with her and the Lambrinoudis family will forever be dear to my heart. She will be greatly missed by all who have had the pleasure of knowing her spirit and warmth. My love, support and prayers go out to your family in this time of sadness.
