October 31, 1995 – March 26, 2018
David William Stanley Holmes of Airdrie passed away tragically on Monday, March 26, 2018 at the age of 22 years. David is lovingly remembered by his family, parents; Paul and Carol, siblings; Melody (Bao) Ho, Rebecca (Matthew) Cameron, Joel Holmes, Laurel (Brenden) Mclean. A Funeral Service will be held at Airdrie Alliance Church, 1604 Summerfield Boulevard on Monday, April 2, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. Public visitation will be held between 12:00 – 12:45. In lieu of flowers, donations in David's memory can be made to Doctors Without Borders. Messages of condolence for the family may be left at www.myalternatives.ca.

My memories of David hold clear. I remember him being happy and always carried a smile. I was in the same grade as him and at the time he loved making comics and loved to draw his character. I remember him being the mans man. He was so dear to many classmates and I looked at him as being such a wise and knowledgeable person. I loved his hunger to learn and thrive. He was like a breath of fresh air. I will always hold him in my memories. Sorry for your loss. He touched so many lives in such an amazing way.

David was an engaging young man and I see from these comments that he touched people wherever he went. Only God knows why he left us. Only God knows if he has peace now. We will keep him and his family in our prayers. May our Lady intercede for him with Her son.

We remember David attending many birthday parties at our home, and Jacob attending trick or treating birthdays at your home, and hearing laughter from the basement whenever David was visiting. He was a wonderful young man, and he will be dearly missed. Our hearts grieve and mourn with you, and can't imagine the pain and sorrow you are in. Praying for peace, comfort and grace. Praying you will know the presence of God as you navigate the unthinkable.
