Corpus Christi - Arturo Mungia Sr, 71 passed away on January 25, 2021

He was preceded in death by his son, Santos Mungia and his daughter , Mary Ann Mungia. His parents, Santos and Dolores Mungia, his brothers, Adan Mungia, Juan Mungia and Roberto Mungia, his sisters, Rosa Mungia and Guadalupe Gonzalez.

He is survived by his children: Jose Mungia, Arturo Mungia jr, Michael and Mitchell Mungia , and Cindy Mungia all from Corpus Christi, Texas; Yolanda Guzman , Arthur Diaz, Ricky Guzman, Andrew Diaz and Jose Diaz all from Ohio. His sisters, Eva Espinoza, Ruth Diaz and his brother Raul Mungia from Robstown, Texas. 42 grandchildren and 60 great grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

Arturo was known to be a jack of all trades. He loved fixing lawn mowers and weed eaters and especially when his family would go bar b que and all the kids running around or on New years Eve when all his children would get together and pop fireworks. He made the best brisket and bar b que. He always made sure he had sweet bread, cookies and drinks when his family would go over and always made sure his chickens were fed.

Visitation will be held from 3:00 pm - 9:00 pm Thursday February 4, 2021 at Saxet Funeral Home with prayer service at 6pm. A funeral home will be celebrated at 9 am on February 5, 2021 at Saxet Funeral Home and internment will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery.
