Dolores Y. Morgan Obituary
Dolores Y. Morgan

Corpus Christi, TX

Dolores Yvonne Morgan, age 88, went to Heaven and met face to face with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on November 30, 2018. Dolores was born June 19, 1930 to Dorothy and Burl Paullin in Macksville, Kansas. Dolores' adventurous spirit led her to travel the world, both for business and pleasure, bringing friendship and delight to many people of many countries. Some of her favorite experiences were her African Safari, walking the Great Wall of China, and taking the climb of her life to the top of the Sydney Harbor Bridge in Australia. Dolores also enjoyed documenting each of her travels for the enjoyment of future generations. The pieces of culture that fill her home are evidence of her ever persisting wanderlust. Dolores blazed a trail for career women, being one of the first female middle managers at the Boeing Co. in Wichita, KS. One of her many accomplishments while working at Boeing was being the Program Planning and Control Manager during the production phase of Air Force One. She also had the honor and privilege of working at NASA on the International Space Station. She was a long time member of First Christian Church in Portland, TX.

Dolores was preceded in death by her parents, husband and two sisters, Arlene and Kathleen. She is survived by her son Steve Morgan (Lynn), daughter Leslie Ortiz Harris (Adrian), nephew Larry Johnson (Susan), five grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren.

A celebration of life memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, December 7, 2018 at First Christian Church, 1103 Lang Road Portland, TX 78374, 361-643-2864.

In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to First Christian Church.
