Rena Casanova Obituary
Rena Fay Ripple Casanova

Corpus Christi, TX

Rena Fay Ripple Casanova, devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and now, our guardian angel, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on November 2, 2018 at the age of 55.

She was born in St. Louis, Missouri to her parents Thomas and Ellen Ripple on September 26, 1963. She was raised in Mobile, Alabama where she graduated from Mobile High School and continued her education earning her Registered Nursing degree from Bishop State also in Mobile. Later in life she would move to Corpus Christi, Texas where she married the love of her life Primo Casanova on December 16, 2003.

Rena dedicated her life to her family and her faith. She had a profound influence on those whose lives she graced with her presence. If there were only one word to describe her it would be "elegant." She exuded elegance, grace, beauty, charm, and love. She taught her children to have a strong faith in God, to be devoted to family, to be loyal, respectful to others, independent and caring. She expressed every day of her life that one of her greatest joys in life were her children and grandchildren. They brought her so much pride and happiness.

One of her proudest achievements was her position as the Director of Nursing for the Mirador Retirement Community. The legacy of Rena's kind spirit, love of knowledge, and zest for life will live on through her loving family and friends.

She leaves behind, to cherish her memories, her husband Primo Casanova; her children: Alan Briggs, III, Braxton Casanova, and Tim Daly; her parents: Thomas and Ellen Ripple; brothers: Tommy (Angie) Ripple, Steve Ripple, and Jerry (Lisa) Ripple; sister: Sandra (Doug) Walters; grandchildren: Brody Briggs and Blake Daly; many loving nieces, nephews and cousins.

Public visitation will begin at 4:30 p.m. Tuesday, November 6, 2018 at Guardian Funeral Home Chapel "B" with a Celebration of Life Service to be held at 7:00 p.m. that evening.
