Sheri Meerscheidt Obituary

Sheri Lynn Meerscheidt

Corpus Christi, TX

Sheri Lynn Meerscheidt (nee Zimmermann), died peacefully on Oct. 26, 2017 in Corpus Christi, TX. Sheri was deeply loved and respected by all she came in contact with. Her sincerity was obvious, humanity enormous, integrity unquestioned, and love boundless. We miss her dearly.

Sheri was born on July 5, 1947 in Waukesha, WI to Stuart G. Zimmermann and Lorraine S. (nee Kragenbrink). She married Jesse James Meerscheidt of Laredo, TX, on Dec 8th, 1965, in San Diego, CA, and had three children, Jesse James II, Jean James, and Jeremy James. Sheri retired from the US Postal Service in Rockport, TX. She loved her family and missed being away from them, especially during times of need. Sheri was proud of her family's military service heritage. She enjoyed riding with her husband on their motorcycle, quilting, geocaching, and genealogy. Sheri had a brilliant mind, a loving heart, and would help anybody as needed. Her greatest joy was being Oma.

Sheri is survived by her husband, Jesse; her brothers: Stuart Gene II, Kenneth Scott, Stanley Roy, and David Allen; her sister: Dawn Marie; two children: Jesse II and Jeremy; and her grandchildren: Megan, Kiera, and Joshua. She is preceded in death by her parents, Stuart and Lorraine; her son, Jean: and grandson, Brandon.

At Sheri's request, no services will be held. Her ashes will be interred at Prairie View Cemetery, Aransas Pass, TX.
