Ms. Mary, my deepest condolences to you on the passing of Mr. Cliff. I had the honor of working with him at the Juvenile Department for many years. I worked with Vern in the same office and we loved to hear his stories and hear him talk about "his little bride". I always held such great respect for Mr. Rowland. Sometimes, he would be in our office assigning cases and he seemed deep in thought but then all of a sudden we would notice he would be chuckling at his desk cause he'd be listening to our silly conversations in our office. We never minded Mr. Rowland in our office... he was a very funny, gentle man who would lend his ear out to you if needed. God bless him and he is sitting in the back of a pickup truck in a much better place listening to some good music and watching over his little bride, Mary, that he loved so much. God Bless you Ms. Mary and keep you strong in this difficult time.

Mary ~ We are so sorry to learn of Cliff's passing. Please accept our deepest condolences that come from the bottom of our hearts. We always loved hearing of y'alls trips to the hill country and how you both loved to sit on the tailgate at the Gun Club to watch the birds.
Cliff's kind heart will never be forgotten. He had such a gentle soul, but also one that was well-respected - basically, one of a kind. We are so fortunate to have called Cliff a friend, and for me a supervisor as well that I learned so much from in my years of working with him. I can remember talking to him many times out at the pastor at our bar-be-ques and dove hunts, begging him to tell me all about his work at the Juvenile Dept. and many times, him trying to talk me out of it.
My family and I are so grateful to have known you both as friends and will always be here for anything you need.
With our deepest sympathy,
Jennifer, Jackie, Rick and Stacey (Hale)

Ms. Mary, my sincere condolences to you & family. It was heart breaking hearing about Cliff's passing. Cliff was the biggest, kindest, sweetest, Teddy Bear I have ever met & he will be greatly missed. He has been missed since the day he called me in his office to tell me he was retiring from the Juvenile Probation Dept. I remember him saying, "now Ms. V, you need to stay out of trouble because I won't be here to get you out of trouble anymore." I remember tears rolling down my face asking him why he had to leave? He was the best. I remember our lunch dates you, Cliff & I had at Hi Ho on Fridays. He was wonderful, he was funny, he was so giving & always supporting everyone's fundraisers at work for our children. There are so many wonderful things about Cliff. I am just so sad to hear about his passing. I am sure he is in a beautiful place watching over you Ms. Mary. He loved his Ms. Mary so much. He always told us the funniest stories about you & him. We enjoyed listening to his stories. May God Bless you always. Lots of love & hugs.
Vern
Cliff, I received some sad news today. It was so heart breaking to hear that such a great man had past away. You will never be forgotten, we will always know where you are at. You will be resting in a beautiful place called Heaven because you earned that. May you rest in peace and from the bottom of my heart, thank you for everything. You were a great boss & a great friend. You will forever be missed and forever be loved. Ms. V
