Andrew BostCorpus Christi, TXOur beloved son Andrew Wallace Bost joined our Lord Jesus Christ this past Friday, February 19, 2016.Andrew was born almost 29 years ago on March 7, 1987, in Corpus Christi. Since a very young age, Andrew demonstrated a very high intellect and a great athletic talent, a beautiful smile and lived life at its fullest. Andrew was a very kind human being, generous, loving, noble and courteous and loved all of his family, both here in the US and Mexico.Andrew attended Carroll High School. Since his freshman year, he became a member of the Tennis Varsity Team, a team that earned the honor of going to the State Tournament three times in the company of his best friends, Erhart Assad, Dante Cage and Joey Farias among others. In his junior year, Andrew and his doubles tennis partner, Marcos Villarreal, earned the right to represent district during the State Tennis Tournament. In his senior year, Andrew transferred to King High School and won the District Tournament in the singles category.Andrew was accepted at Pan-American University on a tennis scholarship and played many tournaments, both singles and doubles with his best friend Enrique Montemayor. He transferred on his sophomore year to Texas A&M University Corpus Christi, majoring in Finance. Although he stopped his studies at the beginning of his senior year, Andrew told his family that he would return to school and earn his degree.Andrew was an avid golf player and had dreams of becoming a Golf Professional like his grandfather Wallace Bost. We are certain that he has fulfilled his dream and is now playing alongside his grandfather. Andrew was a member of St. Phillips Catholic Church and participated in an ACTs retreat.Andrew leaves a legacy of beautiful memories to his immediate family, his parents, George and Diana and his two younger brothers, Alexander and Julian as well as all of his extended family and anybody that had the privilege of knowing him, including his grandparents, Susana Bost, Rodolfo Grunberger and Irma Reynoso and his uncles, Jimmy (Abby Hermann) Rodolfo Grunberger (Lourdes De Loyola) and Guillermo Grunberger (Valeria Castillejos) as well as his two aunts, Susie Bost (Gerardo Palomares) and Debbie Bost (Carlos Alcocer) and many cousins, Leslie, Jose Jaime and Andres Llaca-Bost. Jim, Claudia, Natalia, Camila and Victoria Bost. Carlos, Mauricio, Debbie and Juan German Alcocer, Amaya, Itziar and Alejandra Grunberger, Guillermo, Patricio and Valeria Grunberger and Rhonda Plant, Misty Banks and Herbert Bedford. Andrew's family finds comfort in knowing that they will see him again one day. In lieu of flowers, Andrew's family requests that donations be made to Tennis Success Inc, or CHRISTUS Spohn Foundation. A Holy Rosary will be recited at St. Philip the Apostle Church 3513 Cimarron Rd. in Corpus Christi on Wednesday February 24, at 10:00 a.m. with a Funeral Mass at 10:30 a.m., the family will start accepting visitors at 9:00 a.m. Burial will be on Friday, February 26, at 11:30 a.m. at Seaside Cemetery.
