Dennis Haynes

1963 - 2021

Dennis (Big D) Haynes passed away unexpectedly at his home on May 13, 2021. He was born on January 25, 1963 in Bennington, Vermont to Robert Haynes and Patricia Davendonis Haynes. He lived in Hoosick Falls, New York until he moved to Canon City, Colorado in 1969. Dennis started his own flooring business in 2001 after working for several flooring companies. He loved the Broncos, playing pool and softball, and hanging out with his many, many friends. Dennis cherished his family and friends. He gave big bear hugs, had a generous spirit, and a laugh and smile that drew people to him. He will never be forgotten. He is survived by his children - McKenzie Haynes and Broc Haynes of Canon City, stepfather - Charlie Lohnes of Canon City, siblings - Greg (Jenny) Haynes, Ann Haynes (Dave) Trisha Hightower, Darcey (Clinton) Crits all of Canon City and Jennifer (Gerald) Lohnes of Tucson, Arizona and his housemate cousin Nancy Davendonis as well as his aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother - Patricia (Pat) Lohnes, father - Robert Haynes, and brother - Christopher Haynes.
