Lawrence Belitski Obituary

Lawrence Belitski passed away at the Canora Hospital on Thursday March 2, 2023 at the age of 76. Lawrence was born March 26, 1946, in Canora to Frances (Wolanski) and Peter Belitski. Lawrence attended Canora Junior High School and in 1959 moved to Kelvington, with his brother Gerald and his parents. In 1962 he moved back to Canora and helped with the family dry cleaning business. He worked for the Town of Canora and Samuels Construction. He moved to Red Lake, Manitoba and worked in the gold mine for a few years. He worked for Saskatchewan Highways in Regina and Saskatoon. In 1984 he moved to Winnipeg to work for Imperial Steel as a Steel Worker. After 25 years he returned to Canora to retire. Lawrence was predeceased by his parents, Frances and Peter Belitski. He is survived by his Sister Eleanor, Sister Elizabeth and Brother Gerald as well as nieces and nephews, extended family and friends. A private celebration of life service will be held later this year. Those wishing to make expressions of sympathy may make donations to St. Joseph's Catholic Church Building Fund in Canora.

Lawrence was my neighbour and he became a friend. He was always very kind & good to me . I enjoyed his talkative company. Rest In Peace friend!
