Joan Green Obituary
age 75 of Massillon, OH went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, April 14, 2021 due to complications of Alzheimer's Disease. She was born in Hempstead, NY to the late Dr. Robert and Arwilda (Wilson) Summers. Joan gained her Master of Library Science degree and retired as a reference librarian from the Stark County District Library. She enjoyed Toastmaster's Club and walks in the park where she was known as the "Hat Lady." Joan will be remembered as being feisty and full of life. She shared her wonder of nature with her grandchildren on the family farm.
She is survived by her daughters, Barbara (Chris) Bonaduce and Cynthia (Dan) Pappas, grandchildren: Christina, Ashley, Felicia, Christopher, Joshua, and Brandon, great-grandson, Blake, loving and caring partner, Steve Patterson, and sister, Nancy (Pete) Summers.
Per Joan's wishes, there will be no calling hours or services. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Joan's memory to Alzheimer's Research Association (31408 Harper Avenue, Suite 235, St. Clair Shores, Michigan 48082). Arrangements entrusted to the Mark R. Vrabel Funeral Home, North Canton 330-452-4041.

So sorry to hear of Joan’s passing. My condolences to Steve and the family. She was always friendly on the ski trips and other activities she participated in with the ski club.
