Roberta JOHN Obituary
Age 64, of North Canton, passed away Monday June 12, 2017. She was born Aug. 29, 1952 in Canton to the late Lester C. and Eileen J. (Brant) Kendig. Bobbi was a graduate of North Canton Hoover High School, Ohio University and Akron University. She was the retired Director of Special Services for Stow-Munroe Falls City Schools. She was an active member of Mt. Tabor United Methodist Church, Osnaburg Historical Society, various other organizations and was a proud member of Weight Watchers.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Rogell E. “Gene” John II to whom she was married 16 years; one cousin, Dawn. She is survived by two sons, Todd Pincombe (Kelly Hastings) and Brant Pincombe; two step-children, Stacey John and Jason John; three grandchildren, Violet, Rhonda and Eloise Pincombe; two step-grandchildren, Chassalli and Brooke; two step- great -grandchildren; three sisters, Sue Elsass, Nancy (John) McKinney and Amy Studer; several nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received Thursday June 22, 2017 from 4-8pm in Mt. Tabor United Methodist Church. There are no other public services. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to a children's charity of your choice. Condolences or fond memories may be shared online at

One had to go no further then Bobbi to find the model of an educator. Her compassion, kindness and knowledge she shared with all faculty at Stow Munroe Falls schools gave us the tools to work with students who had challenges. I had the honor to call her a colleague and friend and the memories of her humor and talents for ever will be in my life. Her character and compassion will live on in all our lives. May God's blessing comfort the families of Bobbi and Gene during this difficult time.
