Chauncy Lamaur Townes

29, of Massillon, passed away, unexpectedly, on Sunday, July 8, 2018. He was born in Alliance on November 13, 1988 and was a 2007 graduate of Glen Oak High School. Chauncy was employed as a salesman with AutoNation in North Canton and was loved by his work family. He was a motorcycle enthusiast and enjoyed fishing, cooking and grilling. Chauncy had a great sense of humor and loved to dance, sing and make people smile and laugh. Chauncy had a love for Starbucks, which some might have called an addiction. He loved spending time with his family, and loved his children very deeply. He had a wonderful and beautiful soul that made an impact on everyone he came in contact with. Chauncy will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Chauncy was preceded in death by his grandmother Frances Greenwald; grandfather Daniel Dixon; brother Nichlos Townes; uncles, Jason Townes, Donnie Stargen and Daniel Dixon Jr. and his cousin Demetrious Dixon.

He leaves his loving wife Paige Townes; children, Brayden and Talyn Townes; stepson Giorgio Jackson Jr.; mother Monique Townes; father Dennis Stargen; mother-in-law Amy Portello; siblings, Denisha (David) Williams, Jermaine Johnson, Dorian Tate, Jerrick Townes, Kendra (Antonio) Booker, Kendrick Benson, Roy Shedrick Jr, DeOndre Terrell, Jaz'mion Tate, Jamere Shannon, Jashon Shannon; grandfather William Townes; grandmother Lottie Dixon; brother-in-law Justin Portello. He also leaves to cherish his memory, very special uncles, Anthony Townes and Jim Stanton as well as a host of uncles, aunts, nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.

The family would like to send a special thank you to Chauncy's AutoNation Family, Nelson and Season, Tyler Harvey and the Reed Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Sunday, July 15, 2018 at 4:00pm at the Reed Funeral Home NORTH CANTON CHAPEL, 801 Pittsburg Ave. NW. Calling hours will be prior to the service from 1:00-4:00pm on Sunday at the funeral home.
