Harold Harper Obituary
86 of Massillon, passed away on Dec. 25, 2014 at home surrounded by his family. He was born on April 11, 1928 in Weirton, W.Va., and was the son of the late Benjamin and Jean (Pulliam) Harper. He was a member of St. James A.M.E. Zion Church.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his wives, Orney Mae Harper and Pearl Harper; his sister, Elizabeth Harper; his brothers, Benjamin 'Babe' Harper and Leroy Harper. He is survived by his five children, Larry (Marla) Harper, Sherry (Robert) Wilson, Rosalind Nesbitt, Jay (Cathy) Harper and Bonnie Harper. Also surviving are 13 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; his sisters, Ruby Arrington, Beverly Harper and his brother, Howard Harper.
Funeral services will take place on Friday, Jan. 2, 2015 at St. James A.M.E. Zion Church with Rev. Rosalyne Martin- Mitchell officiating. Burial will follow at Massillon Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church on Friday from 11 a.m. until the time of the service. Condolences may be sent to the family at 1950 Augusta Drive, Massillon, OH 44646.

Family, please know that I express my deepest sympathy at the passing of Harold Harper. I just read the notice and sincerely apologize for my being late in responding. I had the opportunity to pray with Mr. Harper at his son's home, and thank God for the privilege of being able to do so. Blessing to you family is my sincere prayer.
