84 of Jackson Twp. went home to be with the Lord on August 23, 2014. Kenny was born in Waco, Ohio on Feb. 2, 1930 to the late Ulrich and Mary Kleptach. He graduated from Canton South High School in 1948, where he played football, served in the US Air Force during Korea and retired from Sugardale Provisions Co. as a meat cutter. Kenny played accordion for 69 years and was the founder of The Kenny Kleptach and Company Polka Band. He started Polka Jam Sessions at the Polish Club in Canton, was a member of ABC Polka Association and St. Nicholas Byzantine Catholic Church. Preceded in death by his wife Julia Kleptach; brothers Johnny and Mike and sister Mary Climes.
He is survived by his loving fiancee, Marge Alexsonshk; daughters, Ann (Mitchell) Allen and Theresa Kleptach; son, Kenny (Debbie) Kleptach Jr.; twin granddaughters Kayla and Katelyn Kleptach and the Alexsonshk family. The family would like to thank Aultman Hospice and the nurses on 6 East at Aultman Hospital.
Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 10 a.m. on Wednesday Aug. 27, 2014 at the St. Nicholas Byzantine Catholic Church 1051 Robinson Ave. Barberton, Ohio 44203 with Fr. Miron Kmec officiating. Family and friends may visit from 4-7 p.m. on Tuesday Aug. 26, 2014 at the Reed Funeral Home NORTH CANTON CHAPEL with a Parastas Service at 6:30 p.m. and Wednesday from 9-10 a.m. prior to the service at the church.
