"Pops" Dorosky
69, of Canton passed away Wednesday, Nov. 7, at his residence. Robert was born in Canton, on Nov. 11, 1942, the son of the late Frank F. and Dorothea (Page) Dorosky. Also preceded in death by a brother, Gary. Robert retired from Georgia Pacific and was an active member of the Eagles of Louisville. He was an avid bowler, fisherman, and sports fanatic.
He is survived by his wife, Candace S. "Candy" (Bagueros) Dorosky; three sons, Todd A (Renee) Dorosky, Steven E. (Genia) Dorosky, and Stan (Stacie) Herzog; siblings, Frank F. Dorosky Jr., Harry J. Dorosky, Cynthia K. Manda, Kathleen Gregory, Mark E. Dorosky, and Jodi Elkins; five grandchildren; two great- granddaughters; and one expected great-granddaughter.
Funeral Services will be held Saturday, Nov. 10 at 3 p.m. in the Waltner-SIMCHAK Funeral Home, with Pastor Tim Montieth officiating. Friends may call from 1 p.m. until the time of service. Robert gave the gift of sight through eye donation upon his death. Add your condolences on our website at
