Kenneth “Jack” Harmon 1928-2017
of Louisville, Ohio formerly of Melbourne, Fla. went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, January 26, 2017 at the age of 88. He was born February 13, 1928 in Canton, the son of the late James and Hilda (George) Harmon. He proudly served in the U.S. Navy during WWII and spent 28 years as a fireman with the Canton City Fire Department. Jack was an avid golfer and bowler and a member of Louisville Christian Church.
He is survived by his loving wife of 68 years, Wanda (Barkey) with whom he spent the last months of his life residing at Green Meadows Health and Wellness Center in Louisville; four children, Shari Marteney of Melbourne, Fla., Barbara (James) Green of Louisville, Paula (Rick) Wilson of Louisville and Kim Harmon of Louisville; nine grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, Jack is preceded in death by two brothers, Ronald and Fred “Sonny” Harmon.
Jack's family would like to invite friends to join them as they Celebrate his Life Thursday, February 2, 2017 from 5-9 p.m. at the Louisville Eagles. Fireman's Last Bell Service will be held at 5:00 p.m. He will live on in our hearts and will be dearly missed. Arrangements are at the direction of the Paquelet-Falk Funeral Home of Louisville.
