Raymond Elton Studer Obituary
Raymond Elton Studer

age 86, went to God's glory on Sept. 9, 2018. He was born Aug. 13, 1932 in Canton, Ohio to the late Rollon Earl and Bertha Studer. He graduated from Canton McKinley High School and the University of Cincinnati with a bachelor's degree in architecture. He married Donna (Berry) Aug. 22, 1954 and started his own architectural firm, Studer Architects. He was a fellow of the Society of American Registered Architects and his architectural designs graced buildings throughout Ohio. He was a longtime active member of Bethel Lutheran Church where he served in many volunteer positions and was a recent member of St Stephen Martyr Lutheran Church. He used his talents as Scoutmaster for Boy Scout Troop 130 for 33 years guiding boys through campouts, merit badges, and organizing the spaghetti dinner fundraisers. He loved his family without reservation, enjoyed a good card game, and never meet a cookie he didn't like.

Ray was preceded in death by his parents; his brothers, George and Paul; sister-in-law, Julia and his loving wife of 56 years, Donna. He is survived by his son, Milton Studer and daughter-in-law, Marcy; daughter, Marjorie and son-in-law, Donald Funk; daughter, Carol Studer; granddaughters, Elena Magallanes (Daniel), Kim Erb (Thomas), Cassie and Morgan Studer, and nieces and nephews.

Memorial service will be held Sunday, Sept. 16, 2018 at 1:30 p.m. at St. Stephen Martyr Lutheran Church, Canton, Ohio with Pastor Bruce Roth officiating. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Buckeye Boy Scout Council, the Canton Concert Band since he enjoyed many of their summer concerts, or to help the people of Stark County.
