Suzanne Jane (Bankert) Zercher, born in 1939 to Wilbur and Edna (Yost) Raffensperger on Sept. 26, passed gracefully surrounded by family with her faithful companion Lili at her side on Aug. 8, 2018, in the mountains of Colorado.
She was a 1957 graduate of West York High. Loving mother of three, she found time to be a successful fashion model. In the early '70s, she lived in Europe with her children. In the mid-'70s, she relocated from Pennsylvania to the mountains west of Denver.
She became a pioneer of sorts and was one of the few women stockbrokers in Denver. Although she worked in Denver, Suzanne was the happiest in her mountain home, raising three children and welcoming grandchildren.
She was active in her neighborhood, always striving for improvement without losing its small-town charm of her adopted hamlet, Indian Hills.
Survivors include two sons, Robert Scott Bankert and Sean Mathew Bankert, daughter Jennifer Anne Didier, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, extended family in Hawaii and her beloved dog Lili.
