Raymond J. Harting, 75, died Sept. 5, 2018, at St. Anthony Hospital in Lakewood.
Ray was born in Dayton, Ohio, to Reinhart and Magdalene (Schopler) Harting. He married the love of his life, Janet Lehmkuhl, on Oct. 26, 1968.
Ray's lifelong passion for aviation started with his service in the Air Force (1964-1967), transitioning to corporate airplanes and culminating in his own consulting business. This path led them from Ohio to Wisconsin, Minnesota, Connecticut, Illinois and finally Colorado.
Ray is survived by his three children: Karen Harting, John (Eliza) Harting and Emily (Len) Harkins; four grandchildren: Zoe and Lily Harting and Leo and Isaac Harkins; and six siblings: Jerry (Barb) Harting, Bob (Ann) Harting, Dick Harting, Jim (Betty) Harting, Patty (Henry) Powers and Bill (Doris) Harting.
Ray loved sharing adventures and experiencing the world with his family. He passed on his knowledge and support freely, loving nothing more than helping when he was needed.
A celebration of life was held Sept. 8, 2018, at The Barn Chapel at Evergreen Memorial Park, 26624 N. Turkey Creek Road, Evergreen.
