Leonard Cusack Obituary
Mr. Cusack was raised in Needham and graduated from Needham High School in 1968. Shortly after graduation, he joined the Army and served two tours in Vietnam. When he returned home he opened a restaurant in Stoughton and operated it for eight years. For the last 16 years he was a dispatcher for the Norwood Fire Department.
He was known as an extremely generous man who adored all of his family and many friends. He was a member of the Falmouth Elks, a beach lover, and an avid golfer. He also worked part time at Falmouth Country Club.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his mother, Dorothy (Conroy) Cusack of Falmouth; children Sean Cusack and his fiancee Angelina Maffie of Walpole, and Kelly Cusack of Norwood; stepchildren Michael Lucenta and his wife Aimee of Franklin, and Laura Lucenta of Wellesley; siblings Kevin Cusack and his wife Mary of Canton, Richard Cusack of Bradenton, Fla., Joyce Sempos and her husband Robert of Falmouth, Janet Birkett and her husband Jon of Medfield, Susan Morrison and her husband John of Wareham, Timothy Cusack and his wife Eileen of Mansfield, James Cusack and his wife Lynne of Falmouth, Maura DeMello and her husband Paul of Seabrook, N.H., and Chris Cusack and his wife Jackie of Falmouth; three grandchildren, Aidan Perron, Kendal Cusack and Ava Lucenta; and many nieces and nephews.
Visiting hours will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 5, in the Chapman, Cole & Gleason Funeral Home, 475 Main St., Falmouth Center. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 6, at St. Anthony's Church, 167 E. Falmouth Highway (Route 28), East Falmouth, followed by burial at Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne.

If you graduated from Needham High from the late '60's through the '70's, chances are you graduated with a "Cusack". Kevin, Lenny (Tommy), Dickie, Joyce and Janet were all in my "generaton" from the "high school on the hill". Tommy loved wrestling. Tommy, Kevin Glynn and Paul & Mike Fonteccio were a crew. I loved Tommy's laugh and every girl loved to dance with him---boy could he dance! The Needham Cusacks expanded every time I turned around, but it wasn't until I married into the "Cusack" family that I discovered the family tree was in fact a FOREST!!! I went to High School with Lenny. Not to confuse anyone, but his High School friends called him Lenny.
Although I remember his family calling him Tommy. Whatever you want to call Lenny, we can all agree
that he was an outstanding person. Lenny was one of the nicest and kindest persons I ever knew.
He always had a smile and was a good friend to everyone. I just wanted to write a note to let his family
know that he was well thought of 40 some odd years ago as he is today. Lenny came from a great family
and was a class act. My deepest condolences to the Cusack family.

My condolences to the Cusack Family. Tom was an excellent ddispatcher who provided many years of dedicated service to the Norwood Fire Department. He was always a gentleman and a good team player. I always enjoyed talking with him at the station after my retirement.
