I first met Dotty during my early days at the Firm, when during one slow summer, I was asked to assist Dotty on a special library project. Many times during later years, we joked about my "early training".
I will always remember Dotty as friendly, cheerful, extremely helpful and the consumate professional.
We will all miss her. My sympathey to her family.

I remember Dorothy from a time after she had retired from Coopers & Lybrand. I was at the AICPA Library at the time and we had a big project to get caught up in our journal indexing. Dorothy came in several hours a day most days for several months to assist us in that project. She would sit in the back of the reading room there with a cart and go through journal after journal. She was there faithfully doing her part to to improve the Accountant's Index and Database. She showed that being retired did not mean doing nothing, but it was doing something new to help others in the profession.

Dorothy was not only the consumate professional but also an understanding and warm person.I remember many conversations with Dorothy about non business matters which were always thought provoking. They were a welcomed break from the wear and tear of late night efforts to resolve matters of professional jargon, syntactical correctness and urgent deadlines. Dorothy set high standards and, by example, motivated us all to reach for the same level of quality she represented.

My condolences to the family.

Dorothy was always willing to be a mentor to all who turned to her. As a young corporate librarian in another "Big 8" accounting firm in the early '70s, I turned to Dorothy often for guidance and inspiration. She was always gracious and willing to give of her time and experience. I've thought of her often and given thanks that I knew her.

Dorothy was of great help to me as I first started my business career with Lybrand,Ross Bros. & Montgomery in New York in 1966. She had the patience of a saint as she guided me through the resources available and was always helpful on short notice to research issues. She was a wonderful and giving person and will be missed.

Like many other "new kids" coming into the National Office of Coopers & Lybrand in the 1970's, I will always have fond memories of Dorothy. Year in, year out, she was there to help with research, train and mentor us and be a friend to all.

Dorothy was always ready to assist with research and reference suggestions I sometimes needed in Boston. Each request was always handled with professional efficiency and good humor. She was the best in her field and it was a pleasure to have worked with her over many years.

I remember Dorothy so very fondly. We first met when I was a brand new staff accoutant back in 1967 -- I went to the library, unsure of what I was doing, and Dorothy took of her time to show me the ropes and treated me with great kindness. I continued to appreciate Dorothy's help for many years to come. My PwC colleagues and I will miss her presence.

Dottie was the consummate professional. She made C&L a better place both technically and as a desirable place to work. Many the times she came through for us with impossible requests. She garnered and protected much of the historical written legacy of the firm. And always a pleasure to deal with. She has been missed.

Dorothy was a unique resource. On many occasions when our need for reliable information exceeded what we had available, Dorothy and her colleagues diligently pursued and always found much more than we expected. She was kind, patient, and always willing to help everyone, basing her response only on their needs. I am very grateful for her help and privileged to have known her.

It sounds like she had a long and good life, supported by loving family.

I hope she will find rest and green pastures upon her passing.

Not only a mentor, but a friend. A librarian who created C&L's library and preserved its history.
Dottie was always the "go-to" person; there wasn't a question she couldn't answer.
