EAST SANDWICH — Ellen Patricia "ReeRee" (Callahan) Phinney Parrott, 79 years old, of East Sandwich, formerly of Marshfield and Scituate, died July l5, 2008.

She was the beloved wife of David Parrott of East Sandwich; dear mother of Susan Scott of Scituate, John Phinney of Burlington, N.C., Robert Phinney of Elma, N.Y., Laurinda Nickerson of Marshfield, Adele Phinney of Pembroke, Richard Phinney of Marshfield, and Scot, Brian, Stephen and Lee Parrott; sister of Bill, John, Robert and Larry Callahan, Polly Alonso, Helen Demers, Christine Callahan and the late Alfred Callahan; grandmother of Phillip and Allison Crowell, Patty and Anna Phinney, Amber, Christopher and Zackary Phinney, Tabitha, Edward and Nicholas Nickerson, Jennifer, Richard and Paul Phinney; and great-grandmother of Teddy, Cassandra, Adreanna, Erin, Kasey and Marcus. Her late ex-husband was Edward Phinney.

Ellen was a very talented seamstress, making clothes and costumes for her children over the years. She was a member of the Scituate High School Class of l947 Reunion Committee and a member of the American Legion Auxiliary Post l88, Sandwich.

Funeral will be held at the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne, at 2 p.m. Monday. A small gathering is planned from 6 to 9 p.m. at the family homestead on Furnace Street, Marshfield, on that evening.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to The Home for Little Wanderers, 271 Huntington Ave., Boston, MA 02115, or The American Cancer Society, 30 Speen St., Framingham, MA 0l70l.
