Elmer L. Ward III

WARD - Elmer L. III, services for former township resident Elmer L. "Toby" Ward III, were held August 17, 2002, in the Augustinian Recollect Monstery in West Orange. Mr. Ward, 48, died August 10, from a fall in his home in Vinalhaven, ME. A lobster fisherman in ME, during the summer, Mr. Ward taught history at the junior high school level while spending winters in Bethel, VT. Mr. Ward earned a bachelor of arts degree from Fairleigh Dickinson University in 1981. He held a black belt in karate and was an avid hunter. Born in Summit, he lived in the township, ME, and VT. Mr. Ward is survived by his parents, Maryjo and Elmer Jr., and two sisters, Lisa Sanft and Alison M.
