Natalie J. Knudson

HARWICH PORT — Natalie J. Knudson of Harwich Port, died on October 21, 2010, at the McCarthy Care Center in East Sandwich after a short illness. She was the widow of Walter E. Knudson, who died in 1992.

Mrs. Knudson was born in Holyoke, Mass., and lived there for many years until moving to Harwich Port, in 1973. She attended the local schools. She graduated in 1938 from Mary E. Burnham School in Northampton, Mass., and in 1942 from Smith College.

She along with her husband operated Judd & Parsons, Inc., the family-owned insurance agency in Holyoke until its sale in 1972 following 100 years of business. After moving to the Cape in 1973 she worked at Central Cape Dodge in Hyannis in various capacities until May of 1994, when she retired.

She leaves one son, Jon E. Knudson, and his wife Nancy A. Knudson of Mashpee.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, October 29, at 10 a.m. at the Morris, O'Connor & Blute Funeral Home, 678 Main Street, Harwich center. Burial will be in Island Pond Cemetery, Harwich.
