WOLFEBORO, N.H. — Omer Philip Landry, 68, formerly a teacher and coach in Rhode Island, died Sunday, Nov. 1, 2009, in Wolfeboro, N.H.

While not teaching or coaching, Mr. Landry operated a summertime ice cream business, "Polar Dairy," in Onset, Mass.

He is survived by his former wife, Rosemary Kiernan Landry of Meredith, N.H.; two sons, Kevin of North Falmouth and Christopher of Sarasota, Fla.; a daughter, Jennifer of Bethel, Maine; three sisters, Mary Mercier of West Yarmouth, Paula O'Reilly of Cumberland, R.I., and Barbara Triassi of Pawtucket, R.I.; a brother, John Landry of Mayfield Village, Ohio; and grandchildren Jack, Addison, Nicholas, Will, Samantha, Joey, Sophie, Emme, Julia, Alexis and Corliss. He is predeceased by an other brother, David Landry, who lived in Woonsocket, R.I.

His funeral will be held at 8:30 a.m. Friday, Nov. 6, from the Lincoln Funeral Home, 1501 Lonsdale Ave., Lincoln, R.I., with a 10 a.m. Mass of Christian burial in Our Lady of Consolation Church, Broadway, Pawtucket, R.I. Burial will be in Mt. St. Mary's Cemetery, Pawtucket. Calling hours are from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 5.
