BREWSTER — Robert J. Roche, of Brewster, and Cocoa Beach, Fla., formerly of Arlington and South Yarmouth, died on July 25, 2008.

He was the beloved husband of Eleanor (Corsetti) Roche and beloved husband of the late Marion G. (Ogasapian) Roche; devoted father of Robert M. and wife, Richarda S., of Berlin, and Garrett J. of Oakland Acres, Iowa; loving grandfather of Nicholas, Arthur and Anthony Roche; and youngest sibling of William, David and Joseph Roche, Frances Higgins and Marie McGrath, all of whom predeceased him.

A decorated Korean War veteran, he was a former Arlington police officer, retired MDC police officer and retired Department of Defense military police officer.

A brief ceremony and interment will be held at the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Connery Avenue, Bourne, on Tuesday, Aug. 5, at 1 p.m., followed by a memorial luncheon at The Daniel Webster Inn in Sandwich.

Robert Roche spent his career in law enforcement, serving his country and protecting the public.

In remembrance of his kind and giving nature, in lieu of flowers, please give to your favorite charity. May he rest in peace.

Uncle Bob,

Although I never got to see you much I still wish you were here. You were a great person to have in our family and I'm sorry to everyone that knew you. I love you and miss you so much. Say hi to my Papa for me and give him a kiss! Atleast your with you siblings and parents now. Your forever loved, Rest In Peace.

I am so sorry for your loss and I'm here if needed. Your father/husband was a wonderful person and is forever in our hearts and memories.
