Robert Amesbury Obituary
He was the loving husband of the late Elizabeth (Elwell) Amesbury.
Born in Boston, the son of the late Walter and Jenny (Ford) Amesbury, he grew up in Newton, Mass., and Waltham, Mass., and lived in Wellesley for more than 30 years before retiring in Cotuit. Prior to that, Bob was an engineer for more than 40 years at the former United Carr Fasteners in Cambridge.
An avid yachtsman, he was a member of the Coast Guard Auxiliary in Woods Hole for many years, and a skeet shooter.
He is survived by his beloved children, Carol A. Tedoldi and her husband Bob of Florida, Robert C. Amesbury of Washington, and Richard E. Amesbury and his wife Eileen of Florida; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Funeral services and burial will be private.
