FALMOUTH — Robert T. Love II, age 82, of Falmouth, formerly of Wellesley and California, passed away June 19, 2008, at the Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital in Boston.

Born in Braintree, he was raised in Canton and Randolph, and graduated from Cathedral High School and Seton Hall University in New Jersey. He received his MBA from Harvard and was a member of the Harvard Business School Alumni Association. He was a Navy veteran of World War II.

He started his professional career with Arthur D. Little, went on to be a vice president for Gorton's Foods in Gloucester and stayed after the company was acquired by Borden's. Later he was the president of Louis Allen Associates, an International Business Consulting Firm, before retiring in 2003. He had been a resident of Falmouth since 1952.

He was the beloved husband of Lelia M. (McNamara); father of Allison Kennedy and Robert T. Love, both of Falmouth; brother of Arline F. Love of Canton, Nancy A. Love of South Dennis and W. James Love of Wellesley. He was also survived by four grandchildren.

Visiting hours are at the Dockray & Thomas Funeral Home, 455 Washington St., Canton, on Monday, from 4 to 7 p.m. Funeral Mass at St. John the Evangelist Church, Canton, Tuesday morning, at 10:30. Burial is in the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne, on Tuesday, at 2:30 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, c/o Office of Development, Liver Research, 330 Brookline Ave., Boston, MA 02215.
