To the O'Leary Family:
You don't know me and Joan, you would have to have a fantastic memory to remember! I worked at IHA in the 80's and when I started, Bob was the President. I didn't know him well, but I remember him well. Something he said got a laugh from a co-worker and I when we were having a hallway conversation. As he passsed by he smiled and said, "Productivity is suffering!" He chortled a little himself as he went on his way. -- I was so sorry to hear of his passing and juust wanted to tell you so. God bless all of you at this difficult time.

O'Leary Family,
Please know that our thoughts, our prayers and our love surround you.
I know what an amazing man Rob was not by working with him or even having the honor of meeting him in person but from sharing his life through his children. I feel blessed to have shared in his strength and faith throughout his illness. Kelly, your courage and deep faith has been an inspiration to all of us who have the experience of losing a father ahead of us. We love you! Carrie, Rob, Robbie, Ben and Molly

Joan and girls, as well as Richie: I truly am sorry about the tremendous loss you must be feeling. Though you know he was and still is a strong man of faith (we often talked about prayer for one another and the importance of God in our lives), I know he will be missed a lot. I like to view transitions like this as "promotions" to Heaven where you will all be reunited.
Rob was--and I like to think still is with a special Heavenly assignment--a remarkable leader and I count it a privilege to have worked with/for him at Valeant as VP HR. But most importantly, he was a man who loved his family and we often talked about his 5 precious ladies and my 4 precious ladies!! You and your families were the world to him and he is extremely proud.
Richie, I know how close you were to Rob and I also want to tell you how sorry I am.
Please know that our family is praying for your family.
Fondly,
Marisol Macias

I knew Mr.O'Leary in the early 80' when he was at St. Joseph Health System. He always greeted me with my first name and a warm smile...like I was the most important person he would see that day! When my daughter Leora was born, he and his wife sent a beautiful baby blanket to our new daughter. While I did not have much interaction with Bob, the impression he left on me was lifelong. God bless him and his family.

I knew Bob O'Leary back in the 70's and early 80's, when he was with the Illinois Hospital Association and my father, Harry Kinser, was outside counselto the IHA. Bob was a man of tremendous energy, inner direction and good humor. He really took the IHA, and hospital administration in general, to a new level. I am sure he will be greatly missed by family and close friends. He was a strong presence wherever he was. God bless and comfort you all.

Robert O'Leary was a man of great energy and personal integrity. During my time working with Rob he provided excellent leadership and he created a high energy, fun place to work. He truly enjoyed seeing others succeed and that is a rare and wonderful quality.
