Mabel Ramos Obituary
Mabel Ramos, 81, a resident of Severn for 39 years, died November 2 of natural causes at home. She was born May 2, 1930 in Fredericksted, St. Croix, Virgin Islands. Mabel enjoyed singing, reading the Bible, gardening and puzzles. She was a lector and choir member in her church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Miguel Angel Ramos-Amado, in 1988; son, Joseph Anthony; two brothers, Jose and Angel; and two sisters, Carmen and Rose. She is survived by her son, Miguel of Odenton; three daughters, Linda of Beauford, SC, Vielka of Severn and Nancy of Catonsville; brother, Miguel; five sisters, Maria Estelle, Cela, Gloria, Maria M. and Mirta; nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. A visitation will be held from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. on Saturday, November 5 at Hardesty Funeral Home, 851 Annapolis Rd., Gambrills. The funeral will be at 9 a.m. on Monday, November 7 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 1283 Odenton Rd., Odenton. Disposition will be at Arlington National Cemetery at a later date.
