Educator, disciplinarian, innovator, activist, mentor,a true "Sista" before it was cool. I remember her smile and her eyes. I grew up in Eastport on the same street and I can say she was someone that I admired and obeyed. What a life, and I am happy to have known her. From my heart to yours, sympathy and love to the Carroll family.

My children and I are happy, glad and blessed to have been in the midst of Marita Carroll. I was one of her former students and at times came under her wrath. It was all done with love and it is all greatly appreciated. Thank you Miss. Carroll
