Nancy Jane Como (Rhodes), 86, formerly of Annapolis, passed away peacefully on Monday, October 22, 2018. She was born to the late Ralph A. and Alice E. Rhodes on September 23, 1932. Nancy was born in Annapolis, lived her early years in Boston, MA, and late in life lived in Selbyville, DE before returning to Pasadena, MD. Nancy was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. To all who loved her, she was known as YaYa. Yaya was a gourmet cook, quilter, an avid reader, and loved to do crosswords and jigsaw puzzles. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her loving husband of 64 yrs, Donald J. Como, Sr., her sister, Betty Rhodes, her daughter, Linda "Jackie" Miller, and her son-in-law, Charles "Eddie" Collins. She is survived by her sisters Jacqueline McDonald of Milton, MA, Mary Wilson (Herb) of Davidsonville and her brother Ralph "Dusty" Rhodes of Edgewater. Nancy is also survived by daughters, N. Darlene Como (Dayton Eckersen), Silver Spring, Pamela Collins, Pasadena, Donna Como-Roeder (Charles), and son, Donald J. Como, Jr. of Pasadena. Grandchildren Megan Giles (Frank) , Robert Miller Jr. (Rebecca) , Maggie Eckersen, and Samuel and Michael Roeder. Great-Grandchildren Frankie and Amelia Giles and Charlotte and Grace Miller. Funeral Arrangements are private. A Celebration of Life Mass will be held for Donald and Nancy Como on Saturday, November 24, 2018 at 10:30 a.m. at the St. John the Evangelist Church in Severna Park.
