Eric Allen

1968 - 2018

Eric Boyd Allen was born December 24, 1968 in Baltimore, MD to Wayne Boyd Allen and Aleta Joy Allen (nee Long) of Berlin, MD and was raised in Glen Burnie. A 1968 graduate of Glen Burnie High School and a member of the Coast Guard Aux. His family moved to Berlin, MD in 1996 where he was the manager of Royal Plus Flooring in West Ocean City. He enjoyed cruises, Dancing, sports; he was an avid Orioles, Redskins and Capitals fan. Eric was also known for being an avid Star Wars fan. His family describes him as a selfless man who loved to make people laugh, driving fast like a maniac, caring for his cars but his family was the center of his life. He is survived by his wife Krista Marie Allen (nee Rimel) of Berlin, children Dustin Chaz Boyd Allen of Coos Bay, OR and KayCee Colleen Allen (Childs) of Ocean City, MD. Eric is also survived by Brother Joseph P. Allen of Glen Burnie, sisters Jill B. Rudiger of Edgewater and Alycia A. Lebo of Glen Burnie and grandmother Alice E. Long of Glen Burnie. He passed away suddenly on December 22, 2018 at Peninsula Reg. Med. Center and will be greatly missed by his family and friends.Visitation will be Friday, December 28, 3-5pm and 7-9pm at Kirkley-Ruddick Funeral Home, 421 Crain Hwy S Glen Burnie, MD 21061. Funeral service will take place at the funeral home, Saturday, December 29 at 11am, followed by interment in Cedar Hill Cemetery. A celebration of life will be held in Ocean City, MD after the first of the year.
