Fort Mill – Mr. Donnie Ray Jordan, 51, passed away Saturday, Feb. 17, 2018, at the Wayne T. Patrick Hospice House in Rock Hill.
He was born Aug. 15, 1966, in Rock Hill, a son of Donald Ray "Don" Jordan Sr. and the late Margie Threatt Jordan, and was the husband of Yvette Hicks Jordan.
He was employed with Nutanix Inc. as an executive account manager. Donnie was a loving and devoted husband and father. He was an avid golfer and coached his children for 12-plus years in various sports, including baseball, soccer, basketball and tennis. He was also devoted to his church family at Pleasant Valley Baptist Church, serving as a deacon and as the lead sound technician. Donnie impacted so many with his quiet spiritual walk and was always a source of positive encouragement and humor.
Mr. Jordan is survived by his wife, Yvette Hicks Jordan; his children, Raegan Elizabeth Jordan, Ashley Nicole Jordan and Riley Donathon Jordan; his father, Don Jordan Sr. of Lancaster; and his brother, Chris Jordan, and his wife, Amy and their children, Julia and Emma, of Indian Land.
Mr. Jordan was preceded in death by his mother, Margie Threatt Jordan.
The celebration of life funeral service for Mr. Jordan will be 3 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 22, at Pleasant Valley Baptist Church in Indian Land by Dr. Scott Vail. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 21, at Burgess Funeral Home and memorial contributions will be made to Hospice and Community Care, Wayne T. Patrick Hospice House, P.O. Box 993, Rock Hill, SC 29731; or Pleasant Valley Baptist Church, 211 Marvin Road, Indian Land, SC  29707.
