Lisa Berry Obituary
Lisa loved living life. She and Mike enjoyed traveling, spending time with family at "the campground" and riding golf carts and Harleys. She also enjoyed going to new and exciting places in their motorhome and on the boat. Lisa's favorite thing was family. Her sons' sports achievements, her daughters' many academic accomplishments and especially the holidays, when the entire family would get together.
Survivors include her husband, Mike Berry; her children, Waylon Etherton and Kenzie Decatur (Kyle); her stepchildren, Kirsten Berry and Joshua Berry (Jenifer); her mother, Margaret Chewning (Steve); two sisters, Robin Jones (Ricky) and Barbara Guy (Bubba); her brother, Pete Satterwhite (Angie); four grandchildren, Kanaan Decatur, Braeden Berry, Olivia Berry and Kaylin Decatur and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her grandmother Lucille Mosley, and her father, Walter Satterwhite. The family will receive friends Friday, July 15 from 6-8 p.m. at Riverside Church of God, 3461 Fall Hill Ave. in Fredericksburg. A funeral service will follow on Saturday at 11 a.m. at the church, with burial to follow in Greenlawn Cemetery, Bowling Green. The family will also receive friends at the church, one hour prior to the service. A reception will immediately follow the burial at the Town Hall in Bowling Green. I don't know where to start....I can't believe this has happened. I am confident beyond a shadow of a doubt Lisa is in heaven and healed and out of pain. I am so sorry the family has had to face and endure all they have. She was such a strong woman which we all know that. It has been an honor to be her hairdresser for so many years but more than that her friend. We have shared so much, good and bad, sometimes deeper and closer than a sister. I will miss Lisa so very much and thank God for crossing our paths and allowing me to have such a beautiful friendship with such an amazing lady. Lisa's legacy will live on forever and has challenged me in my own life to be a better woman. She loved life and her family and would go to any lengths for them. I am praying for you all. I know that you are missing her terribly as am I. I thank God for having Lisa as my best friend for 25+ years. Lisa was the most loving, kind, and thought person.
