Edwin Lee Miller Sr died unexpectedly in his home on Sunday, February 25, 2018, in Hanover, PA at the age of 77. He was born on July 9, 1940 in Trego, MD to the late Nellie Mose Miller Huff and Paul E Miller. Ed is survived by daughter Tammy Lavoie of Hampstead, MD; son Stephen Miller and companion Tracey Spera of Westminster, MD; daughter Lisa Saghy and husband David Saghy of Shepherdstown, WV; sister JoAnn E Viands of Williamsport, MD; devoted companion Suzanne Thomas of Hanover, PA; and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his loving wife Regina E Miller, son Edwin L Miller, Jr, grandson Edwin L Miller III and sister Frances L Miller Yoder. He graduated from South Hagerstown High in 1958. After a successful career with the State of Maryland as a Data Processing Director, he retired after many years of service. Ed was an honorably discharged veteran, having served in the United States Army. He enjoyed the camaraderie and companionship of his fellow veterans as a member of AMVETS Post 22, Hanover, PA. In the hope of helping others, Ed's wishes were that his body be donated to Anatomy Gifts Registry to help advance medical science and education. A memorial service is planned for 1:00 pm on March 10, 2018, at the Church of the Brethren in Westminster, MD.
