Ethel Louise Lentzner, 102, of Westminster passed away on Monday, July 24, 2017 at Carroll Hospice Dove House. Ethel was born on May 5, 1915 in Westminster, at the family home, and was the daughter of the late Orville Smith and Flora Mildred (Harman) Bohn. She was the beloved wife of 44 years to the late William Howard Lentzner, who predeceased her in 1981. Ethel graduated from Westminster High School in 1931. After high school, she began her working career at Greifs Sewing Factory. She also worked for Newman Bookshop and Press in accounts receivable until their closing. She spent the remaining years of her working career at Random House as supervisor of accounts receivable, until retiring in 1980. Ethel was an active member of Westminster United Methodist Church since 1927. She was a lifetime member and past president of the United Methodist Women and held various other offices within the church. She taught Sunday School for over 50 years, and attended Wednesday morning bible study. She helped found the soup kitchen and volunteered for Meals on Wheels, for over 20 years. Ethel was a former president of Friendly Sunday School Class, a member of Reach Committee, and charter member of Random House Alumni Club. Surviving her are son and daughter-in-law Thomas Howard and Brenda Louise Lentzner of Westminster; daughter and son-in-law Judith Anne and D. Kenneth Warehime of Hampstead; grandchildren Wendy (Samuel) White, Vicki (Frank) Roloson, Michael Warehime, Matthew (Jenifer) Warehime; great- grandchildren Travis and Amanda White, Taylor and Skylar Hahn, Trenton Warehime; and step great-grandson Zachery Montley. She was predeceased by her brother Kenneth Bohn and sister Virginia Boyd. The family will receive friends on Friday, July 28, 2017 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at Pritts Funeral Home and Chapel, 412 Washington Rd., Westminster, and Saturday, July 29th from 10 a.m. until the funeral service at 11:00 a.m. at Westminster United Methodist Church, 165 E. Main St., Westminster with Pastor Malcolm Stranathan and Pastor Shari McCourt officiating. Interment will be in Meadow Branch Cemetery.
