Glenn Hartman Obituary



Glenn D. Hartman, 85, of Hampstead, MD, passed away on Friday, Aug. 25, 2017 at the University of Maryland St. Joseph Medical Center. He was born on Jan. 16, 1932 in Lewistown, PA, a son of the late James D. and Mary (Eddinger) Hartman. In 1961 he married Carol L. (Walter) Hartman who survives. Glenn had worked as a printer throughout his life. He was a hardworking father and he especially loved animals. Surviving in addition to his wife are three sons and two daughters in law, Michael and Diane Hartman, Todd Hartman and Troy and Kim Hartman; and three grandchildren, Matthew, Nicholas and Lauren Hartman. He was preceded in death by one brother D. Richard Hartman and one sister Irene Hetrick. A viewing will be held on Friday, Sept. 1 from 10-10:30 at the Hummel Funeral Home, 574 Hill St., Middleburg, PA. Graveside services will be conducted at 11am in the Paxtonville cemetery with Rev. Mindy Coates officiating. A memorial service will be held in Maryland at a later date.
