Mrs. A. Marian Reaver, 87, of Tampa, FL and formerly of near Union Bridge, died Wednesday, September 9, 2015 at St. Joseph's Hospital, Tampa. Born May 29, 1928 in Taneytown, she was the daughter of the late Walter S. and Anna M. Welty Eckard. She was the wife of Joseph M. Reaver Jr. who died April 26, 2013. Mrs. Reaver was a graduate of Elmer Wolfe High School. She was a member of Mt. Union Lutheran Church, near Union Bridge, all of her young and adult life and in later years was a member of Bethel Assembly of God, Littlestown, PA. In early years she worked at Cambridge Rubber Co., Taneytown and then was employed as a seamstress for many years for Domenick Caprarola and English American Tailoring Co. Marian enjoyed art, including drawing and sketching, playing the piano, playing UNO with friends and putting puzzles together. Surviving are a daughter, Susan M. Null and fiancé Kenneth Oleson of Tampa; 2 step grandchildren, Christopher Null and Sarah Null Iafrate; 2 sisters-in-law, Doris Eckard of Littlestown and Alice Eckard of New Windsor; niece, Mary Creed and nephew Robert Eckard. She was predeceased by 2 brothers, Walter and Ralph Eckard. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, September 18, at Hartzler Funeral Home, 6 E. Broadway, Union Bridge, with Rev. Jonathan Ritenour, associate pastor of Bethel Assembly of God, officiating. Interment will be in Mt. Union Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday from 1:00 p.m. until time of service.
