Ada Althea Burke Stallings Gettier, 90, of Westminster, formerly of Catonsville, died Saturday, June 9, 2012, at Bethania Home Care in Westminster.

Born May 12, 1922, in Baltimore, she was the daughter of the late Charles Burke and Ada Pinder Burke. She was the wife of Donald Edward Stallings, who died in August 1973; and of Earle T. Gettier, who died in August 1996.

She was a cashier for the Social Security Administration. She was member of Church of the Open Door, very active in Westminster's Senior Center and enjoyed country line dancing.

Surviving are daughters and sons-in-law Patricia and Steven Snyder, of Finksburg, and Nancy and Bill Werking, of New Windsor; son and daughter-in-law Donald and Darlene Stallings, of Ohio; a brother, John Warren Burke, of Joppa; grandchildren Michele Miller, Jason Benbow, and Daniel, Rachel, Matthew, Andrew, David and Nathan Werking; and great-grandchildren Flyn Markwitz, and Tyler and Avery Benbow.

Friends may call from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Burrier-Queen Funeral Home & Crematory, 1212 W. Old Liberty Road, Winfield.

A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Interment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery.
