Adelaide "Addie" Evangelista, 94, of Wayne, N.J., died Monday, December 24, 2012.

Born March 24, 1918, in Paterson, N.J., she was the daughter of the late Roy Alexander and Jessie Lowery Tintle. She was the wife of Thomas Evangelista, her husband of 59 years.

She was an avid gardener at her home on Atwood Place in Wayne. She enjoyed music and visits from family and friends.

Surviving, in addition to her husband, are daughters Janice and husband Donald Hobart, of Westminster, Dawn and husband Carmen Russo, of Haledon, N.J., Marcia and husband Oney Smith, of Frederick, and Pamela and husband Martin Turman, of Edmond, Okla.; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her first husband, Frederick Carl Mooney Jr., who died in 1950.

Friends may call from 3 p.m. until the time of service, 4 p.m. Friday at Moore's Home for Funerals, 1591 Alps Road, Wayne. A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday in Laurel Grove Cemetery in Totowa, N.J.
