Agnes Virginia Kowalski, 85, of Pleasant Valley, died Saturday, Oct. 20, 2012, at home.

Born Nov. 24, 1926, in Baltimore County, she was the daughter of the late Walter Joseph and Mary Elizabeth Brazier Nida. She was the wife of Frank W. Kowalski, her husband of 63 years.

She attended Sparrows Point High School and was a homemaker.

She was a member of St. John Catholic Church for 53 years, and the VFW Ladies Auxiliary.

She enjoyed working in her flower gardens, traveling, crossword puzzles, knitting and crocheting.

Surviving, in addition to her husband, are children and spouses Kathleen Overall, of Pine Forge, Pa., Frank W. Kowalski Jr., Dominic and Michele Kowalski, and Mary Anne Kowalski, all of Westminster, Walter and Deborah Kowalski, of Sykesville, Mark Kowalski, of Dundalk, John Kowalski, of Baltimore, and David and Sue Kowalski, of Virginia Beach, Va.; siblings Cecelia Lesser, of Dundalk, and Thomas Nida, of Essex; 13 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by brothers Walter and James Nida.

The family will receive friends from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at the family residence, 1635 Indian Valley Trail, Westminster.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. John Catholic Church, 43 Monroe St., Westminster, with the Rev. Larry Adamczyk as celebrant. Interment will be in St. John Catholic Church Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to St. John Catholic Church, 43 Monroe St., Westminster, MD 21157.

Arrangements are by Pritts Funeral Home and Chapel in Westminster.
