Alexander "Alex" Noel Olson, 22, of Westminster, died Monday, August 18, 2014 at Johns Hopkins Hospital. Born July 22, 1992, he was the son of Wayne Noel Olson and Michelle Elaine Oszakiewski Olson of Westminster. He graduated from Westminster High School in 2010 where he was a member of the gaming club; he was attending Carroll Community College majoring in Information Technology and was a member of the gaming club. He worked at Burger King. He was a member of the Westminster United Methodist Church and was an assistant Sunday School teacher for the 4th and 5th grades. He volunteered on mission trips with Appalachian Service Project and Least of these Ministries. He enjoyed working on computers. Besides his parents, he is survived by his sister Rachel Olson of Westminster, nephew Tyler Olson of Westminster, maternal grandparents Marjorie Elaine and Arnold "Lee" Oszakiewski of Sykesville, paternal grandparents Howard S. and Conni Olson of Sun City, FL. Also survived by aunts, uncles, and cousins. Memorial services will be held on Thursday, August 21, 2014 at 6:30 pm at Westminster United Methodist Church, 165 E. Main St., Westminster, with his pastor, Rev. Shari McCourt officiating. The family will receive friends at the church from 4:30 - 6:30 p.m. Please dress casual. A reception will follow in Jubilee Hall after the services. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in honor of Alex Olson to The Ulman Cancer Fund, please visit http://ulmanfund.org/donate/.
